August Zoo Trip

We went to the zoo on Wednesday with my mom to celebrate her birthday. It was a great afternoon, the weather was perfect, and since most kids are back in school around here there were very few people at the zoo. I think we saw almost everything which has never happened before. Abbie enjoyed petting a shark, feeding the giraffes and of course going on the rides. We also did the splash park for the first time which the girls really enjoyed. Hopefully we will fit in a few more trips to the zoo before it gets cold out.

Abbie fed the giraffes all by herself this time which was great! She actually fed both the daddy giraffe and then the baby giraffe on the left. Emily was eating her carrot while Abbie was feeding the giraffes!

When it was Emily's turn to feed the giraffes she immediately stopped eating the carrot and handed it over to the baby giraffe without prompting...it was so cute!

Emily thought feeding the birds was so cool. She kept trying to touch them and get them on her arm. Abbie wouldn't come anywhere near us!
